About Debbie’s Key

Debbie’s KEY is the chronicle of one mother’s (Debbie Mangortey) journey with her son, (Kofi Entsi Yankson aka KEY) born with Down syndrome. This blog looks at the daily challenges of being a career woman and raising a child with special needs, it will provide some tips on therapy (and what has worked for Debbie and KEY) to help other parents, milestone achievements and the feel good it gives, among other things. This promises to be a fun learning experience

Disability is part of the human experience. it has been said that, at some point in our lives, we will be temporarily or permanently impaired! It is all possible…

When we believe, amazing things happen. Today, I am here to encourage you to believe in yourself so much that those around you have no choice than to believe too. As human beings, we are more capable than we sometimes give ourselves and others credit for. Please don’t put a limit on anyone, no matter their circumstances because it is simply not your place to do so. Continue reading It is all possible…

GRACE, GRIT AND GRATITUDE

It is my 43rd birthday today and as I always do, I have been thinking. I am not where I would have loved to be at this time, oh but I have definitely come far. It has taken the unmerited favor of God, the sheer determination to not be defined by my life’s experiences and the vivid memories of my grateful heart. Continue reading GRACE, GRIT AND GRATITUDE
